Design Concept

This project is an originally planned as 29-storeys vertically multi-functional commercial / retail, restaurant, entertainment and office building. It was then converted to a hotel upon completion.

The building elevation is in many palettes to reflect the different uses, such as the entrance, hotel lobby, retail, restaurants / kitchen, and hotel floors. The main pedestrian circulation from Madison Street side of Shape Street, hence the building elevation and lobby was designed to be captured from that angle, when gradually approach the building, the building elevation also gradually unfolds itself of the different palettes.

The lighting is specially designed to also capture attention from Madison Street approach, with the podium ribbon lighting to attract pedestrian at street level.
